Delta DVD 12x Drivers? Other Issues?!

:|:frown: Ok, this is making me mad. When I first got this drive nearly a year ago it worked fine. It came without any drivers and such and worked very well. After about 6 months though it quit on me. It will not read DVDs or some CD-R's and RW's. It won't even read some of my new music cd's and games that I have bought. Does anyone know if this is a hardware issue or driver issue. I would imagine a hardware issue. Please respond with any ideas or thoughts, or even better resolutions. Thanks for your time and efforts.
 
Well, If You've tried cleaning it and it's still popping and wheezing, I'd say it's time for a new one... And don't feel to bad; my brand new 16x DVD-Rom just died after just 52 days... 22 days after the warrenty expired.🙁
