This is the black label delta 38cfm fan, but with an added speed control, from 15-38cfm, to calm the nosie down. Good deal because 2cooltek has it without the speed control for 12.00 + 3.75shipping = 15.75
I say thats a good deal.

16.50 sounds a bit high for a 60mm fan . . . and that's just the fan right? no heatsink?

also, what's the point of a speed control? i could understand if it was a big noisy 120mm and i wanted to slow it down so it'd be quieter.

Let me guess, youve never heard of the delta black label? its the loudest fan out there, and the most powerfull at 60mm. Most 80mm fans dont even give 38 cfm. Speed control is a great option for this fan, people run these at 7v, or on fanbuses, now with this speed control you dont have to make ur own bus or make it 7v.

My roommate has this fan and it is freaking LOUD. If he didn't sleep like a log, then he would definitely need a speed control for it. Since he does though, he sleeps right through it. =) Me personally, I can't sleep with too much noise, this sounds really cool with the speed control on it.
