Dell Zino HD and video card choices

got one of those Dell Zino HD htpc or SFF type computers last week. It has onboard Radeon 3200 as the default and I opted out of getting the Radeon Mobile 4330 512mb DDR2 offering. this computer uses MXM graphics (not sure what that means). anyways, the onboard is fine for most things, but I find it stuttering on simple games (like Plants V. Zombies on Steam), and even some of the Java based internet games I play. The 4330 upgrade seemed very weak as well.. I am curious if there is a possibility they will offer anything better.. just something that performs like an 8600GT would be fine by me. What are the chances that they will offer further upgrades? Or that I could use another MXM card in it?

It sounds to me like the "mobile" 4330 is effectively a discrete, onboard solution, like would be found in a laptop...So it looks like they don't offer an actual card upgrade...does it have PCI slots??

I don't think you can. The Zino I was testing the other day ran extremely hot as well, the hard drive and CPU heat sink were extremely hot to the touch.

There's also no PCI or PCIe slots inside the Zino case. I'm afraid, you're probably SOL for video upgrades. If you want a gaming machine, look for one of the Inspiron 537 or 546 models on the Outlet Store, pop in any PCIe video card and you're in business.

I agree Bateluer.. the Zino does get hot even with the basic config I have in it. so I think I will just continue to use my gaming laptop and keep this for an internet surfing machine
