Dell XPS2 Laptop Hard Drive

The crappy Toshiba is came with crapped out last night. Dell XPS 15 (L502X) bought about 20 months ago. (Core i7, GT540M, 1080P LED, Blueray etc)

The Dell specs say the interface is Serial ATA-300.

Will a SATA 6 notebook HD connect and work fine? Looking at Seagate Hybrid and WD drives and any recent ones are all SATA 6. (Dell only sells more crappy Toshiba ones)

Appreciate any help, need to get it up and running and then see about getting data off the old one.

Thanks!

Yes, they'll work fine. If you only have one HDD bay, this would be a good use case for one of the Seagate hybrid drives, if you want one of those.
