dell xps style case

Be nice to link to a pic or two for those of us that don't pay any attention to Dell.

Found some pix (right next door) - front door like that (articulated hinge) was on Ahanix Black Knight and Plasma (discontinued but still a few out there). Insides are similar to the idea of several I've seen by Suntek Group (the side with the mobo and card slots on it dropped down on a horizontal hinge). But I haven't seen one available to the general public that combines both.
. Back in the days of the baby AT mobo, I assembled some systems in a case whose inside chassis had a hinge at the lower back so the piece with the mobo on it could swing away from the drive stack. It had one of those U-shaped metal covers and no door. Lots of ideas have been tried over the years - it looks like Dell's case OEM came up with a fairly original variant. Doesn't look like it would make life much easier than any of a dozen other cases I can think of though.

. And I believe some Enlight, InWin and Linkworld cases share some of the style points.

.bh.

Just to let you all know. Dell continues its use of many proprietary parts.
You'll never see another power supply like that used in the Dell XPS.
Its a whole separate flat compartment in the bottom of the case with 2 fans blowing from front to back.

I was thinking of building my own after constantly upgrading my older computers.
But for the price of the parts Dell gives you a deal with their volume buys. Just beware of that their video and Audio cards may have the same name as retail boxed versions but often is missing features. In my case features I did not want or need, so Dell saved me $$ there.

Here is a better one.

i may be in the minority , but i am not all that impressed with the wavemaster.

its not very easy to use, the motherboard tray is hard to slide out, power supply is sort of hard to install.

its difficult to get to the 2 front mount fans, not to mention all the fans are only 80mm. and nothing is screwless, so thats a drawback for drives.

i am not hating on it. i happen to own one. but it seems like people blindly recommend this case. i think for the money the p180 probably has better features.
