Something inaccurate those reviews. In the specs they list the video as Geforce Go 7800 GTX, but the e1705 actually has the 7800 non-GTX. I searched around, but I can't find any benches for the GF Go 7800, just the German posts in notebookforum.

the 7800 in the 9400/e1750 is very underclocked, just bump the badboy up to GTX speeds and you should see good numbers.

Is that the only difference between the 7800 and 7800gtx? clock speed only and not pipes? I wonder if the 7800 is also undervolted so you can't reach gtx clock speeds....

Lots of information over at:

People are posting some good scores for the 9400 using the mobile force drivers. Just shy of 6000 in 3dMark05!!!!!

I've orderd 2 of them and should have them next week! For the price/components it's hard to beat. IMHO

There are very little reviews available and none that are comprehensive. Seems like pre production units were previewed. Should be some full reviews coming in the next week or so.

6248 in 3dmark05 with the xps2 and 6800 ultra. not stable at those overclocked settings (526-1305)

Around 5000 stock speeds

uhh.. i heard dual cores have problems with games. If the laptop is going to be used for games then i would do more research on dual cores and games. Just google it. A LOT of people are having a extremely hard time getting games to work properly on dual cores. ALSO INTEL announced there dual cores had 36 known bugs and they promised to list a new bug each month? i dont know if that sounds good or not... But just do more research on your own. When it comes down to it, half the people on this post probably dont own a dual core laptop and there just trying to get you to jump the dual core band wagon.

Calm down about the bugs thing. Every processor has bugs of some kind and 34 bugs out of millions of transitors/logic paths is pretty good.

I have heard rumors of BF2 having problems on AMD X2 systems not sure why maybe should do a bit more digging on this topic. But for the most part Dual core is the way to go.
