Staples is clearancing out the Dell m1130. It is under 4 lbs. The screen size is 13.3". This is in store only. YMMV. There were 4 left @ the Ocala store.
Good Luck!

Bought one yesterday. The only color they have is black ... but that's OK with me. Some things to consider if you are interested in this unit:

- It comes with a nice XPS sleeve to carry it in or put in your laptop bag/backpack.
- The HD is rated at 120 GB but Dell has created a "Restore" partition that eats up about 15GB of disk space ... but I did get the restore disks.
- The optical drive is a slot-loader.
- The screen is glossy and beautiful.
- It comes with Vista Home Premium (which I plan to delete and install XP Pro.
- You get a FAR HP 5610 AIO printer with purchase (you pay $70 for the printer and get it all back).

Couple of questions:

1. Does this one has led backlit screen?
2. I also assume it has integrated graphics, is it capable of running aero or are you stuck with basic?
3. I also assume it comes with 4 cell battery, is that right?

1. No
2. M1330 integrated is more than enough to run Vista aero, but not much else. It underperforms on even basic 3D games like CivilizationIV.
3. dunno

I've had mine for some time, there are some other 'gotchas' to be aware of. All ports are on the sides, so don't expect to be able to leave in any dongles or usb receivers and still slide it into a case or sleeve.

There are some crackling issues with the audio. I use a toneport to play guitar, and Torq Xponent to DJ - my old P4 3.4Ghz XPS is still used for those functions, since the m1330 audio just isn't very clean.

Otherwise, its a great laptop and a complete steal at this price. Slap in a faster drive and more ram and you'll be good to go.

Don't care about games, at least not on a laptop, but I wished it had led backlit screen.

That's a bit unusual isn't it?
On a laptop I mean.

Larry,

Not really. You will find few if any laptops in this size with anything but a slot-loading DVD drive. I believe it is similar to the one used in the Macbook ... at lease it sounds the same. I have a 12.1" laptop and there's no room for either type of drive. You have to purchase a "media base" to use a drive.
