Hey guys I have a dell xps 8300 circa 2011 and while I'm liking windows 10 I'm getting some freezing and crashing which forces me into a restart. What's the best way to troubleshoot this issue? I'm not sure even where to start...

One error I've been seeing sometimes is "this program not responding: Microsoft windows" or it'll just freeze without any error message and force a restart...

Was Windows 10 installed "fresh" or was this an "upgrade" install from Windows 7?
If it was an upgrade install, I'd recommend doing a complete boot drive re-format and fresh re-install of Windows 10, using a bootable Windows 10 USB thumb drive.
Also, check if a bios firmware update is available.
And: consider installation of an SSD as the boot drive; a 256 Gb SSD should be available for under $80.
