Dell XPS 430 Ram upgrade

I picked up a an XPS 430 off of the dell outlet for cheap. The only problem is that it only came with 2GB of RAM(2X1GB 1333mhz DDR3, leaves 2 slots empty). I am planning to buy 4GB more(2x2GB) to bring it up to 6GB total.
My question is would 1066 DDR3 memory work? If it would, would it have a big impact on the performance?
