dell xps 400 & windows server 64 bit

Anyone attempt this? I'm trying to decide if I should build a new server or upgrade my xps 400 and turn it into a server and buy a new desktop. The XPS is running a Pentium D 3.0.

I want to be able to run 64 bit windows server (and eventually windows server 2008). I like the fact that the Dell has RAID already, but not sure of the driver support. I also saw from memory retailers that i would be able to stuff 8gb in there, but only when running a 64-bit OS. Since this isn't supported by Dell, there's nothing official about this on their site.

Lastly, any reason why I would need to upgrade power?

Thanks.

What are you trying to accomplish? By that I mean: what server-based software are you going to be running that can take advantage of 64-bit Windows Server and 8GB of RAM?
