Wondering if i should call and cancel this order. I'll mainly be using this for encoding, watching videos, dvd backup, web surfing, and light gaming (UT 04, Farcry).

Specs

Windows Media Center 2005
Pentium D 2.8 GHz
512MB DDR2
80 GB Hard Drive
8x Slim DVD Burner
1 PCIe x16
1 PCIe x 1
Integrated Intel Video GMA 950 (Might need to upgrade this)

Total with tax: $294

My PC budget is $400

how much are spending for that.
$400 is preety good a pentium D and 512 mb ram. put in another 200 bucks for a gfx card and your set

A couple of reviews mentioned that the 820 D gets hot. Will i run into any problems if upgrade with the following components?

250 GB Seagate 7200.8 SATA Hard drive $99 from Newegg
PowerColor ATI Radeon x700z 256MB PCI-E (Low Profile) $90 from ewiz
2 x 256 Viking DDR2 (PC2 4200) $35.10 from newegg

Can the GMA 950 handle UT 2004 and Farcry at 1024x768?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm out of touch when it comes to current tech.

The only other game thats on my radar is Half Life 2. I'll be very happy if this setup can play this game without any slowdowns.
