Dell XPS-2, $300 for 2.13 vs 2.0GHz worth it?

I just orded the Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2, and after much debating I decided to go with the 2GHz instead of teh 2.13GHz Processor. Spending $300 for another .13GHz just doesn't seem worth it to me, instead I upgraded to 1gig of ram.

The two options are:

Intel® Pentium® M 770 Processor (2.13GHz/533MHz FSB) [add $300 or $9/month1]

Intel® Pentium® M 760 Processor (2GHz/533MHz FSB)

Is there any difference between the 760 and 770 other than proc speed? What are your opinions on spending $300 for the 770? I ordered it 2 days ago but I obviously have a long time to change it. I've been going back and forth on it and just want to make sure I won't regret my decision not to get the 770 in a year or two.

*edit* Wow... I'm an idiot. Ordered it and didn't notice the ship date was over a month off, for some reason I was thinking it was March 8th but it's April, which makes sense considering it was just announced. Gonna cancel my order, as I can always re-order it later if I decide in a month I still want that.

I would rather have more ram than an additional 130mhz.

But you'll have to ask yourself how much CPU power you're going to want.

No it's not worth it.

I figure the CPU is easy to upgrade later. Put the $300 in a bank and in two years buy a 3ghz CPU with it.....

Also dell memory is a ripoff.

Get the laptop with 512mb memory and spend $400 at newegg on 2 1gb stick of ram. 2gb goodness for 1/2 the price of dell......

Hello people i need some help. I'm in the market for a new laptop i need help choosing which one is better. In this corner i have the Area-51m 7700 with an intel p4 3.6 and in the other corner i have the dell xps2 with the mobile centrino. Can somebody help me on making a decision on which one i should buy?? Thank you whoever responds i appreciate it.

Not worth it. Keep the 2 Ghz.

and kingnick get

The Dell, P-M 2.0 is a powerful gaming processor. It also runs MUCH cooler. It can even be overclocked in a laptop.

Yeah the extra 130mHz is definitely not worth it... even if you have money to burn. The only way you're going to see a difference is when benchmarking. Real world performance will likely be within a few percent... and I'm sure you can deal with that esp with an extra $300 in your pocket!

Klumsy.

Just remember this

CPUs are easy to upgrade later....... Sonoma has leggs, you can probably put a 3ghz in there next year!
