Good deal... Too bad the laptop itself is rubbish. I have one, and it's already needed to be repaired twice in nine months.

I just bought the XPS 17" model with these specs for $100 more last month, Dell's discount prices are all over the place. Keep an eye on techbargains (http://www.techbargains.com/dellcoupons.cfm) they often have 25% off coupons for Dell's laptops.

Oh, and don't bother with dealing with their sales people for deals, they only offered me 1% off, then $100 when I kept asking for more. The guy didn't believe me when I told him I could get 25% off from tech bargains, then tried to tell me it wasn't valid although it went through fine on dell's site, he even said that he wanted my order number so he could investigate it further. So I saved $350 instead by doing it myself.
