Dell XPS 13 Not Sleeping Sporadically

I'm getting a sporadic issue where closing the lid of my new dell xps 13 doesn't always put the unit to sleep so I'll open it up and a few hours later and see the battery drop significantly. Also of note is that sometimes when I manually try to activate sleep via the power button it comes out of sleep in a few seconds. Fully shutting down the unit and restarting will resolve the issue and allow it to sleep normally. What are some possible reasons that this is happening? I've already updated the video drivers and this hasn't resolved the issue...

Any ideas?
