Currently have a used 9343 that has 37Whr left on the battery health.

Any reason that I couldn't upgrade to the newest 60Whr battery? Space or voltage concerns?

Or would it be better to go with the 56Whr version?

Thanks.

If you are going to do it yourself, do a proper research before you buy one. Things like will it use the same connectors? Is it going to physically fit? Also, check the voltage of course. If you have to question any of those, just get an exact replacement.

Try to get it from a trusted, or even better an authorized retailer.

I don't feel like you would be able to. The only difference on the batteries is the move from a 7.2V battery to a 7.4V high voltage chemistry. The firmware in the laptop is configured to charge the batteries to the pre-defined voltage in the firmware. Chances are, if the laptop did not outright reject the battery pack (especially if the part ID is read off the battery pack itself), it would not charge the pack above 7.2V, giving you a 52Whr battery pack anyways. I would just stick to what the laptop came with.
