Hey guys my boss gave me an x51v because he doesn't want them and the crap they come with sitting in his drawer any longer; says they are useless when everyone just has storms/iphones now...

I checked it out, seems to be a high end pda from just 2 or 3 years ago... but I don't know if windows mobile sucks or what but it can barely display a single website correctly on wifi.

anyone have one of these? good for games or videos or other random crap?

I used one of our old axims with BigOven software in my kitchen to access recipes. Didn't care if it got wet/gross/broken since it's old.

I used mine almost exclusively to watch videos off my home network. Does a great job of playing back most dixv/xvid files (non-HD). I use it to catch up on TV that I miss. Good for the bus, airplane, long car rides. I use it mostly while in bed, and my wife is trying to go to sleep.

Also great as a portable GPS. I use a CF GPS receiver and bluetooth to my BlackBerry for internet (for up-to-date traffic)...It's GREAT! Especially useful for...long trips where you're driving.

I bought some cheap 4 gb SD (non-SDHC) and a 4 GB CF card and that's all the space you need for storage for cross-country airplane.

Looks like it can be flashed to WM 6.1... and people have put playstation games on it?!

hmmmmmm

You might be able to put Playstation games on it, but I doubt they'll be playable at all. Unless the emulators on WM have come a faaaar way in the past year. My Motorola Q struggled with SNES games on the emulator.

This is quite true I'm sure, but if I could get super mario RPG to play on it I'd be pretty much set forever. Also this thing has a 624mhz cpu and 16 megs of video memory...

Super Mario RPG should work fine, I think, unless there is a compatibility issue with the emulator. I've played Tales of Phantasia, Chrono Trigger, and FF3 on older Axims. You might me able to overclock the CPU, too (it's been a while since I had a Dell Pocket PC, but used to overclock 300MHz to 500MHz).
