Dell X3 Finally Released

damn NFS4--stop trying to convince me to get an iPaq. 😉

seriously tho--i'm disappointed with the pricing--not even close to being "competitive"
the 4155 is greater than the x3 now 🙁

I will seriously consider a Dell Axim X3 once I can get the top of the line WiFi model for $250 or less shipped.

i want a pocket pc closer to 4" than 4.5"

sony sj30 and the like are 4.1" which is very nice. too bad it's palm though

I'm thinking that'll happen pretty soon with Dell's aggressive cost cutting and coupons. I may trade in my X5 if it reaches that price too. 🙂

Here's the link to official annoucement: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/brand/axim_x3?c=us&l=en&s=gen

Seems like it's basically the same as the X5 but thinner and no CF expansion slot. It has SD for Bluetooth and builtin WiFi (WirelessB). Same screen size and also a 400MHz Intel processor though I'm not sure if the CPU is any faster than the old on in the X5. The proc has a different name but is still an XScale CPU. Same 64MB memory capacity but again only expandable through SD/MMC.

the x3 seems to be benchmarking faster (especially in the graphics index): text
seems too high. 😕
