Dell with integrated NIC problem and DSL

Wasup with this integrated NIC (on MB), will not work with
my DSL provider, otherwise fine on network and will
connect with the Cable company. Anyone have this problem?

Sounds to me like your NIC is functioning properly. You might want to call your DSL provider and check your network settings.

I called DSL co., Its a known problem that this NIC will not work
with their gateway, they recommend that ppl don't buy a Dell computer.

doesn't work with their gateway? that... might just be the dumbest thing i've ever heard... ethernet is a standard, the gateway shouldn't care. especially with the intel integrated nic, those are some really good nics. maybe you should just go pick up a linksys 10/100 for $20 at compusa since the dsl people don't want to help.
