If you been looking for a new desktop pc, either a inspiron or a vostro, you have go to though dell's online configuration to select components.

When the selection for monitors comes up, there is no Dell Ultrasharp 20" or 24", instead-- we are offered 19" or 22" analog monitors..there even offering an analog 24" too.

I called Dell to find out how to get an Ultrasharp with my config... no one was able to give an answer.

Has anyone ordered a dell lately with an ultrasharp? i'm curious how to get one.

I am pretty sure the e248wfp is digital and I see it as an option with the inspirion desktops (though at the moment it would be cheaper to configure with no display and order separately then to get it with the system). I guess they figure that if you are buying a computer for less then $1000 then you probably aren't going to add a $700+ monitor.

You just have to look up the specs on the monitors. For instance when I bought a Vostro 200 the standard 19" screen only had a VGA input, while the 20" widescreen that I ended up getting (E207WFP) has VGA and DVI inputs.
