Warranty is about to expire in a week.

My battery is gone. last 5 seconds. Can I get it replaced?

My graphic card 7800GS gets too hot when I play games. Gets in the red. The problem is with the graphic card design itself. Think they will give me a 7900GS for free?

I am thinking no/no.

You can most likely get the battery replaced. It wouldn't hurt to ask about the graphic card but I don't think they will replace it

Tell them your graphics card is overheating and see if you can get it replaced. As for the battery, the warranty may or may not cover it. The battery could only be covered by a 1 year warranty max.

It depends on the warranty you chose at purchase. Dell has been issuing battery recalls since last year. If you have one of their recall batteries they are obligated to replace it.

Batteries are 12 months from the invoiced date, period regardless of any warranty extensions. Unless it is one of the recalled batteries which should have already been purged from the system.

Just because the graphics card is over heating is not a cause for replacement actually. If it has failed is another matter. Over heating could be caused from dust etc ... so I doubt you will get the new card you wanted, or the battery ( unless you are under the 12 month mark with the battery ).
