Dell W1900

I'm looking at getting a TV for college and was wondering if the Dell W1900 which is listed as an LCD TV would be as good as getting a regular Dell LCD and putting a TV tuner in my computer?

I know usually that Tv's make horrible monitors due to resolution issues and was wondering if that was the case here. Thanks a lot for all your help.

Can you post a link to the LCD-TV in question?

In general, I've found that watching TV on a normal LCD computer monitor to be fine, using a WinTV card, although it will cost a bit extra to get one with a remote.

1280x768 on a 19inch monitor won't look that great. It will probably look okay, but nothing to brag about. If you're going to spend around $500, might want to look into getting a 2005FPW LCD monitor from dell, and then getting a decent TV tuner card for your computer.
