Dell Vostro 200 - SLP string for XP present?

I bought a Dell Vostro 200 off of someone on CL. It came with 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2, a 250GB HD, and a gaming graphics card that he threw in as part of the deal. He also included the factory restore CDs, which are Vista.

My question is, does the Dell Vostro also have the SLP string in the BIOS for XP, as well as Vista?

One of my relatives has an older Dell with a Pentium D 2.8Ghz, and he said a 7600GT. I would like to clone his 250GB SATA HD with Ghost 2003, onto a larger SATA HD, and plug that HD into this Dell, and seeing as they are both Dells, I'm hoping that Windows stays activated.

If it doesn't auto-activate in the new machine, then what options do I have?

So I'm going to clone the HD and pray, basically.

Just wondering what my odds of success are with this. If the Vostro 200 shipped with XP at some point, then I figure that my odds are fairly good. Anyone know?

Seems like some Vostros shipped with XP Home.

Here is a Vostro 200 on Ebay, shipped with Vista Home Basic, but with XP Pro included on CD.

Presumably it's an XP repair install OEM disc from Dell, I doubt that someone would include a full retail XP Pro license with that box, at that price.

I am happy to report that the swap seemed to go OK. It was a little hairy at one point, because the Vostro 200 only has USB, no PS/2 input ports, and Windows decided to prompt me to install drivers for some of the other hardware in the system, before it had gotten around to installing the USB input devices. Had to turn the system off using the power switch a few times, until it finally got to detect the USB mouse and keyboard, and then I could tell it to install the other devices.
