How come there are hardly any reviews of the Dell U3011 30" monitor? It seems to be a top-of-the-line IPS panel display.

It is $1400 on Dell's site so I wonder if they're going for less anywhere else.

Also, do any of you have this monitor? If so, how is it? What are the pros and cons? How does it stack up to other 30" monitors out today?

I have a Samsung T260 which is 26.6" but 1920x1200 which is great but I was thinking of stepping up to the 30" displays.

I also have a Dell 2405WFP that I got a while ago and still works great. That monitor is also 1920x1200.

I want to have a 3 monitor setup so what is the best route for this?

2 24" and 1 30" in the middle or all 3 24" monitors?

I am thinking of selling the Dell and getting two more Samsung T260s to have a 3 monitor setup. Or I might go with the Dell U3011 30" display.

Thoughts/suggestions?

What you plan to do should tell you what will work best. Lay out all the windows you plan to have active, and how you want them arranged, and bingo you know what size and arrangement of monitors you need.

I'm also debating between the U3011 and the HP ZR30W. Unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of reviews on the U3011 yet, though I trust TFT Central - their reviews are very extensive.

The only thing holding me back is the AG coating I keep hearing about. For some reason neither Dell or HP are making thier 30" displays with a normal semi-glossy coating.

I have ZR30w and very satisfyed with it. It's much better than LP3065 which I had before. I don't know about Dell, but I think you can't miss anything with ZR30w

p.s. I see that the Dell has LED backlighting. I like that, and it's not much more expensive than HP

I decided on the Dell U3011.

It is a phenomenal monitor! It makes the T260 look pedestrian next to it.

Really happy with it!
