I've been looking for a 24' monitor to replace my current Samsung SyncMaster 225BW, I've been looking at the Dell and a few others found the the price is down to $499 in Canada.
The others I have been looking at are
BenQ V2400W 2ms DVI, HDMI $429
But it kinda looks tacky with the base off center, but if its the best it wont be a problem, never had BenQ, dont know the quality

LG FLatron L246WH-BN DVI, HDMI 5ms $469
I've never had anything that was LG so I dont know the quality

Samsung SyncMaster 245T DVI, HDMI 6ms $599
I like my Samsung I have now...but its really the only monitor I've had thats been good quality so I dont know how well they are because I have nothing to compare it with

Samsung SyncMaster 245B DVI, 5ms $389
Cheaper model? My friend has the 22' version and loves it...but he also came from a 15'crt that was like 8 years old

Dell and MemoryExpress are the only places I trust so far although I am open to trying NCIX. And I dont believe I will be too eager to go for a monitor from a company Ive never heard of.
It is mostly going to be used for gaming...COD4, CIV4, FSX (Im not really hardcore)...as well I do want the ability to play Xbox 360 on it as mine is on a 18" Tube (I believe it will need an HDMI for 1080 but Im not sure)...as well when I do go to collage I want the ability to use a slingbox for TV and watch 1080 video. I have no preference for panels or anything like that, which ever one is better I guess
I like the Dell because of the dual-DVI Display Port and HDMI, it seems to be the closest to future proof but I also want the one that would best suit my needs. And it looks the best looking asteticly out of the 5.
My Setup
