I can't find the 1905FP on Dell Home any longer. It shows up in their Dell Outlet, though. Has that model been "upgraded" to something else?

Thanks.

Yeah, they have the 1907FP out now.

Just curious, any particular reason why you want the 1905?

The thing that Dell did that was annoying is they listed the 1704 and 1905 first, and then much lower down the page they list the 1707/1907 for the same price. I wonder how many people ended up getting the older models because they didn't even see the newer ones.

I'm not stuck on the 1905, I just started shopping for a LCD monitor and read some good reviews on it. In the day or two I was on Dell.com they made the change evidently in the listing. Once I saw it listed for something like 289.

Anyway, I'm still on the look for a 19" LCD monitor. (office work and video)

Ah, thats kinda what I thought.

I think you can do better than the 1905 though, as it seemed to have too high of a response time and so ghosting/motion blur was fairly evident.

I don't know that I've heard much on the 1907, but it I believe is superior in just about every area over the 1905.

Hmm, there are some 19" widescreen LCDs that can be found for less than $300 shipped pretty easily. Haven't really seen any reviews, but most of the people who have bought them liked them. Might be something to look into.

Do you have a price range? You say video, is that video editing or just like watching movies or something?

I personally wasn't ever a big fan of 19" becaue they had the same resolution as the 17" ones, and so never did much research or anything (and never bought one), but I know there are plenty of people here who can help you out finding one.

A 19" choice comes from that old "bigger must be better" syndrome. But if a deal on a sound 17" LCD came up I may jump. Today I use a 17" CRT with a old AIW 7500 that is freaking out both in video and tuner ability. So I'm ready to go LCD and get a new budget AGP card. Main needs are office work (multi-apps, and watching video cause I plan to get a TV tuner card as well)
