I've read alot of the posts about this monitor.
I presently have a 19" Dell 1226H CRT, but am wanting to get an LCD for both looks & space.
Is this a good monitor? I really don't wanna spend the extra $200 difference as I can get this one shipped for less than $500.
What do you guys/gals think?

My wife has one...she claims she will never use a CRT monitor again...also it looks much better if you use the DVI port

I waited till almost 10:30p, but went ahead & ordered. It was just too hard to let the 15% & the 10% both go to waste. I'm still paying more that what others got it for a while back, however. That's the way it works, though.
Now I just gotta get a video card w/dvi. arrgh!! :disgust:

I'm running a 1800FP alongside a decent 19" CRT. My observations:

-The 1800FP looks MUCH better with a DVI connection. Pixels are much crisper.
-Text looks much sharper and better than on the CRT.
-For some reason, ClearType makes everything look horrible.
-The contrast is not nearly as good as the CRT. In most games, a lot of detail in dark areas is lost.

Like everyone else said, DVI is practically a must. With an analog VGA connection, fonts look "puffy" where the edges kinda bleed out. With DVI, it's really sharp and defined. I didn't think DVI made such a big difference before but now I'm a believer.
