Dell Ultra Sharp 1905FP

Anandtech gave it a good rating, saying its above average compared to other monitors.. and that its on par with the much more pricey Samsung monitor with nearly identical specs. Was looking for some other feedback, whether its an acceptable LCD for gaming. I don't play alot of games, but I do play Counter-Strike some.

I am switching from a CRT monitor, however its a 19 inc Gateway monitor I got about 6 years ago.. it blows, as most Gateway monitors do. I'm hoping the change will be very fulfilling.

Remember, I'm not looking for the best of the best LCD when it comes to gaming, just wondering how the 1905FP ranks.

I've got a 1905FP. My last monitor was a 17" CTX PR705F. If you're used to a CRT for playing games on then the first time you play a game on an LCD is quite shocking. Ghosting is apparent in darker scenes, but you get used to it.

Overall, it's a great monitor. I don't think a 16ms TFT would be much better (ANY TFT will ghost more than a decent CRT) and the TFTs with lower response times will most likely be 6-bit models instead of the 8-bit brilliance of the Dell
