Dell TrueMobile

is there actually anything to prove that the orinoco gold is a better card than say... brand x?
 
I've seen posts on how to flash the TrueMobile to the Cisco Orinoco model but I don't remember anything about going from Silver to Gold. You might want to do a google with Orinoco instead of TrueMobile and see if it is even possible. Maybe some resisters are blown ala Intel processors.
 
I dunno if I even want to flash the card. I installed it with the dell crap and I get full strength and a great signal, so I see no point in risking killing the card. Is it just me? The only advantage I see is that you can put newer firmware on it.
