Dell TrueMobile mini vs. PCMCIA

Has anyone had experience with the mini PCI card versus the card adaptor for a Dell Inspiron 5100?

No one has used the miniPCI card? I'm talking about the internal wireless card that fits into the bay on the bottom of the laptop.

I'm using it right now, it works ok for me, but I do notice my friends with PCMCIA cards have slightly better coverage.

i'd get the minipci card so that if you need the pcmcia slot for something else while your on the internet then it's available to be used.

I would think the MiniPCI card would work better as it uses bigger antennas built into the laptop

The range you achieve with a mini-PCI card depends on the antennas built into the laptop. These are usually larger and positioned more optimally than in PC cards.
