Dell TrueMobile 2300 Won't Grab IP; 3Com and Linksys Do Though

Was testing out my friend's Linksys router as he left it over here and wanted to give it a look compared to my Dell TrueMobile 2300. Upon finishing playing with the Linksys, I went to hook my Dell TrueMobile 2300 back up. I have tried rebooting it, rebooting the cable modem, everything, yet it will never grab an IP address. My friend's Linksys and 3Com routers both grab an IP address instantly. Anybody have a Dell TrueMobile 2300, or have anything they could shine on this subject? Thanks in advance.

Done, even rolled back the firmware to the same version of when I got it and had at for about 3-4 monthes, and still no dice.

If you change the MAC on the 2300 to the same MAC that either the 3com or the Linksys is using, does that fix the problem?

I just posted to dslreports about my experience with using sparklan firmware on my truemobile 2300. While I don't know why you can't get an IP via your WAN port, you may find it interesting...

Honestly, the WanIP thing seems odd. I doubt the sparklan firmware will fix it... but if you are ready to give up...
