Didn't find any posts...so sorry if repost. I guess Dell used to offer this financing option to business customers only, but now it's offered to everyone. Includes not only computers, but pretty much anything else they sell and includes purchases over $500.

Not too shabby...what do you all think?

Excellent post, I was going to pick up something in a laptop at Best Buy until I read this post...thanks! This puts to shame the 0% for 12 months on the crap that Best Buy sells!

what is so good about 0% you still gotta pay sooner or later. and later it will probably screw up your finances.

plus they'll offer this instead of good deals on computers. Like the auto companies this is a gimmick to get people to buy over-priced goods.

If you have any grasp on your finances then 0% is an excellent deal. If you buy a system for $800, instead of paying $800 up front or 12% APR for a year which drives the price way up, you can pay $65/month for a year and pay off the system. As long as you make monthly payments on time, this is HOT for those planning to buy a Dell.

0% financing is excellent. Let's say you want to buy a $2000 PC. You get 0% financing, use $1000 to make your monthly payments, and put $1000 in a short-term bond or CD and now you are actually earning interest instead of paying interest. Nice deal if you ask me.

I am a sucker for the 0% deals as well. I really like it when I hit one at best buy for example and then the item I purchased goes on sale after the 0% is up and I get money taken off my balance when I go in with my receipt. It doesn't happen often, but it puts a smile on my face when it does.
