Dell technical support

Why on Earth (and everywhere else for that matter!) do they tell people to take apart their pc when something is broken? Isn't it kind of insane to ask a person to remove a "memory card" from motherboard? A person that barely knows how to turn on a computer? Yet if a non Dell technician works on a machine the warranty is void. What is going on here?

1. Because people are cheap and refuse to pay for the onsite warranty.
2. Troubleshooting issues require opening the box sometimes even if they are a lummox.

Remember they bought the machine and the warranty with it, Dell is obligated to help them the best way they can with in the scope of the warranty.

Ya get what ya pay for?

Next time order an OptiPlex and opt for the $69 tech support upgrade. Well worth speaking to people who live in Texas.
