DELL SUCKS

So I see the coupons for 35% off the 2005FPW. I put it in my cart and successfully apply the coupons for the discount price--$395. I enter in my credit info and everything. When I get to the last page and hit submit, I get an error. I try reprocessing the order but it says the coupon ran out. I had already APPLIED the coupon and it said I could get the discount price. So I made the mistake of calling DELL to try to get the discount. Of course I get an Indian guy who sucks at English and doesn't know what he's doing. I politely tell him that I APPLIED the coupon and I am currently sitting on the submit & verify screen which lists the price as $395. He wastes an hour of my time and then hangs up on me.

I'd imagine the policy on discounts and coupons are locked in at point of sale, not sitting in your shopping cart. This makes sense, here's 2 scenarios to support this: First, you don't want someone to keep a coupon in cart indefinately. Similarily, when you add an item from Dell Outlet for example, you have a fixed limited amount of time to make a decision or else it's released from your cart even if you didn't want it to.
