Dell Sucks.....Discuss!

Has anyone found a lot of problems with Dell PSUs lately? One of the labs I have has GX270s and GX280s and I swear at least 10 of them have had bum PSUs. I wondering if it might be something with the wiring of the building at this point or has Dell been cutting costs. Also we ghost all these machines, so is it possible the power features in the HAL we're using might be bad for these computers?

Cliffs:

Problem: Bad PSUs in Dell Workstations

Possible causes:
1. Dell sucks-Their bad
2. Bad wiring in room-Our Bad
3. older HAL screwing with power parameters-combination of them and us

Thanks Guys

my 7200 rpm drive died on me after the one year warranty on my desktop...

what is this!? luckily I had a backup drive! order from them if you want a free LCD and free XP Home, you pay extra for the Pro edition though. I like their keyboards also.

Dells are mass produced, so if you order a lot at a time and they have a run of bad components, they'll all have the same problem. No problems with the PSUs, but I had a lot of GX270s with bad motherboards (blown capacitors) and hard drives (bad sectors). They all came from the same order too. No problems with the other GX270s.

They need to crack down on their manufacturers. Hopefully Seagate Maxtor merger will increase MTBF for those drives.
