HI
Looking for a new laptop and came across the Dell Studio and Studio XPS models.
Anyone have hands on experience with them?
My main use for a laptop is internet surfing,, some spread sheet work,, picture editing,, music downloads and music cd burning. And,, wahtever else my kids and grand kids want me to do!
Thanks

I've been looking at the 13" Studio XPS for a long time. I think they'd work more than well enough for the purposes you listed. You can get outstanding deals on them through Dell Outlet + coupon codes.

I'm trying to find a brick&mortar location that actually carries the Studio XPS 16. I'd like to see it in person before plunking down $1k.

Anyone know where I can find one to test drive?

i have a studio 1545. I have the ati 4330 256mb video in it. its easy to uprgrade the processor in it. the cpu is uncovered by the same panel as the ram. unfortunately, even though it is dedicated video, it is part of the motherboard and not a separate card, so no upgrading to a better video. i like the build quality of it alot. Though I find myself using my Latitude 2100 netbook more and more. That is a very sturdy and well build netbook, best build i have found so far.
