Dell Studio 540 Overclocking??

I just bought a Dell Studio 540 with the Q6600 CPU and was wondering if it could be overclocked with Dell's factory MOBO? There was someone on ebay selling the same computer claiming that it's overclocked from 2.4 ghz to 3.0ghz and increased the FSB speed to 1333. I looked at my set up and everything seems to be locked, there is a CPU comfiguration but doesnt seem to have any major settings to be changed? And ideas please let me know.

Sorry its an OEM. So there is no OCing. The one mentioned on ebay may have been a pencile mod. Don't know which pins but if you draw a thick mark between the right pins it automaticly bumps the clock speed up.

If you want to overclock with factory controlled overclocking, look into the high end XPS systems.

If you want to do serious overclocking, build your own machine. It's the only way you'll be able to truly overclock your system.

You can OC these computers with the Q6600 chip or any intel C2D chip, I have done this 2 times now. I wont tell you how, but look up BSEL modding. Be warned tho, you void the warranty, and these computers run cool on stock settings and may not do well with a 33% overclock.
