Dell smartstep 100N $899 laptop

i just noticed dell sells a new laptop. Its basically the inspiron 2600 but it costs $100 less after rebate. $949 - $50 MIR. the 2600 you can customize the cdrom to a cdrw or dvd, and the cpu to a 1 ghz or 1.13 ghz p3 instead of a celeron, and can have a 15inch screen. The smart step is basically a i2600 but with

celeron 1.06
128mb ram
20 gigs
14.1 tft
24x cdrom
modem only no lan


its $100 less than the equiavalent 2600 , but the 2600 would have lan, and a free upgrade to a cdrw or dvd. i guess if you were really broke and couldnt afford the additional $100 this would be a good buy.
