Dell shipped me the wrong video card, should I complain or just keep it?

I haven't had a new computer in years. My last one was a 1.2 ghz Athlon. That said, I just picked up a refurb from Dell Outlet.

All of my ordering information has me ordering "256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO, Dual Monitor VGA (TV-out), LP" however in Device manager it has "ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro". Plus there is no dual monitor support, which I wanted, and only s-video (is this what they consider TV-out?)

Should I complain? I was going to call soon but don't know anything about these cards so I don't want those jokers to tell me this 2400Pro is a better card when it's not. Please help! Thanks in advance!

Well a 2400pro is better than a X1300pro from a performance point of view as its a new generation and I think may come with things like UVD (explained here). Its up you and what you need it for.

I'm wondering how much of a difference the clock speed makes. The x1300Pro is clocked much faster on the core, so even if it is same performance clock for clock, the 2400 Pro is clocked lower.

Personally I'd just overclock the card and call it a day. :p

I don't think overclocking is a good idea for a laptop ... Stay with the HD2400pro, it's a newer card and neither with the X1300pro nor with the HD2400pro would you be able to play many games anyway.

If you want dual monitor support go get the x1300pro. I might even get it anyways since it does have better performance in games.

since you ordered the x1300 and got the 2400pro which lacks the required dual display support i would call dell and make them overnight me a new card and refund shipping.
