Dell SB: Planar PL180M 18" LCD Monitor $464 (+tax) after rebate

Dell (Small Business) is having a sale on software and peripherals this weekend. They have some monitors on sale. I saw the Planar PL180M for $564.36. I noticed that Planar also has a $100 rebate on these monitors. Your price should be about $464.36 + tax/shipping for those of us that have to pay tax. Ground shipping appears to be free, btw.

If anybody can make this sweeter, go ahead...

I'm not a big gamer, but the limited amout that I play I can tell you that there is some ghosting. I personal don't notice it unless I'm looking for it but it may bother some.

If you game, then DVI is a must. So, unless you game it not a bad deal.

After seeing all the complaints about Dell rebates (not just the 11-26 fiasco),
I would think long and hard before I purchased a Dell product advertising a rebate.
Unless, you don't care if you get the rebate, or have to monitor it's progress constantly,
send copies of the rebate repeatedly, talk to unco-operative CSR's, sit on the phone on
hold forever, and get mesages that ask you to verify that you are entitled to the rebate.

I have had no probs with the two dell rebates I got..

I got the planar 19" over the summer. I can't say much for games but there is no ghosting in warcraft 3.

Amazon's gold box had the 18.1" Cornea LCD for the same price. YMMV...
