So I have a camera I'm looking at buying, the Canon EOS 400D aka Digital Rebel XTi

Text

It has it for $800-auto $120=$680.

I recently made a purchase and received $70 in Dell Dollars for a Small Business purchase -- so the dollars will only apply to small business purchases.

A friend gave me a similar thing for $50 in Dell Home, only works on Home purchases.

Of course you can't apply them both to the same thing online, you have to choose small business OR home. I called sales to see if they could pull some strings for me, because $50 is a big difference (at least to me).

The sales rep said they could not apply both. Moreover, if there were TWO dell dollar certs for the same department, I could only use one on a single purchase.

I don't see anything in the coupon that says it can't be combined, so do you think he was lying or BSing me to get the sale? What do you think?

If he was lying, I'm going to trade the home dell-dollar cert for a small bus dell-dollar cert, in hopes that will work.

It depends on the coupon code and offer at that time. Sometimes coupons can be stacked on each other, sometimes it cannot. It wil tell you if the coupons can be applied once you do the checkout process. Good luck, got my XTi a few months ago for about $675, IIRC after $250 instant off. Had to pay tax.

In the past Dell was generous when it came to stacking coupons for some sweet sweet deals. For the most part those days are long gone.

What does the fine print say on the Dell Dollars that you have? Does it say it can't be combined?

Dell has stackable coupons, if what you're using is a strict $50 off of anything then it's a concessions coupon. Those are just about never stackable.

OK, thanks for letting me know. The $50 one is a concessions coupon. I'll go ahead and get it using only one, and use the $50 off for something else.
