Dell S2417DG Need help accessing the OSD Menu

so for the life of me i cannot access the On screen display menu on this monitor. it says to press the third button from the left, which when pressed brings up a quick menu on selecting hdmi or DP. i cant access the other features at all. i've pressed every button and every combination of buttons but all i get are the options to pick HDMI or DP. any help is appreciated. Thanks!
