I have accidentally posted the same thread in off topic, but mods are too busy at the moment to move it to this category. excuse my indulgence to post it twice 🙂

while typing away my prelab for ECE2031, I found the keyboard on the dell machine in the ECE lab is actually pretty nice. as much as I have no respect for dell, this keyboard is pretty much what I have been looking for :

-has a good soft (but not mushy) feel for keystrokes
-seems fast enough
-small and light enough to be luggable

I was hoping I could find a keyboard without those stupid minisized keys that I could put in my backpack to carry around in my laptop. Not only this keyboard would serve well for that purpose, it does feel somewhat better than the one I am using with my desktop. Although I have not tried any gaming on this keyboard, I always played well on my roomates another dell keyboard.

So the question is, did anyone happened to know who makes this keyboard or where I could purchase one online? The only places I came up with googling are ebay ($5ish used, $10 shipping) and dell online shop ($40ish + shipping). Thanks in advance.

It is made by the Silitek division of LiteOn and may be sold under the LiteOn name here too. SK-8115
. Most of the LiteOn standard keyboards have a similar feel. Newegg has several models.

Grrr.

I have been seeing the same keyboard and it has never shown on Dell's web site when I check. I tried calling Dell and the lady (in India) couldn't find it in her system. I called back and tried the option for replacement parts. A different lady, also from India, answered the phone. When I couldn't give a service tag #, she insisted on transfering me to the sales department which I had already said could not help me. When I tried to explain, she just hung up on me.
