Dell Returns...

I was thinking about purchasing a monitor from Dell.com . However I was wondering what kind of return policy do they have as far as returning it? Like do they pay the shipping to and from if I need a replacement/refund?

Thanks

Well this would be for something that has an immediate noticable problem. The reason I ask is with the NEC 2141 monitor someone had a problem with it and an ATI card at 1600x1200.

I've bought two monitors from Dell, a CRT and an LCD, and had no problems with either.

Not that that answered your question or anything...

I thought someone here had said they won't take a LCD back unless it has more than like 8 dead pixels or something...(maybe 4). I'm not sure though...

I'm a fan of Dell but their Monitors suck, where I work we usualy have to return one or more every week or two.

If you want decent monitor go with IBM or Sony.

Good LCD, Samsung.

I just ordered another 1800FP. Dell is great with returns. If I need to return something, I just call them up and tell them I am not happy. Then they issue a CRA#.

blazert, Like I said I am getting a NEC monitor not a Dell.

jfano : great that sounds fine then, do they pay for shipping both ways?

They would probably pay if the item has something wrong with it thats not your fault. You just don't want it, you pay shipping ususally.

Uh...a good many of Dell's panels are Samsungs. How are they failing?

Ok that sounds good then, I definetly want it as long as it doesnt have this compatibility issue with ATI cards.

Thanks
