I ordered a laptop from Dell on 9-4, I got my laptop the 11th of October, and I want to return it, I emailed the CSR's and they say no (not within 30 days) but do you think I could call em up and demand a refund? I had to wait a month for the laptop, in that time, there was a big price drop.

Jeez, I'd make this thread longer, but there's really no more info than that. I'm not satisfied with the laptop because of the price I paid at the time compared to when I actually received it, and parts.

You are SOL since you waited over 30 days. Why didn't you think of a refund before Nov. 11th? In addition, you could have easily cancelled the order before it arrived.

I don't know if the price argument will carry much weight with them. If anything would make them refund money, I would think it would have to be gross defect or product failure.

I don't think that just because the price went down, they'll have sympathy for waiving return policy. The logic is that if you found the price acceptable, and demonstrated your acceptance of this by purchasing, then a subsequent price drop doesn't make your previous action less acceptable. That's how prices work -- each person makes the decision about value with or without information about future prices and value. Imagine if you asked for money lost in the stock market because prices went down...

I'm not being harsh to pick on you, just to let you know what kind of a case you'll have to make... Let us know what you do..

Yep, you are SOL.

Dell refuses to bend the 30 day policy. Believe me, I've tried and had a very good reason. I have a very sour taste in my mouth from Dell's poor customer service.

If you call them follow it with a fax or they may lie and say they never heard from you. Ditto everything else above :|
