I haven't gotten my new computer yet but a better deal just came out today so when it gets here I'm going to call and return it under their 21 day satisfcation policy

For those of you here who have taken advantage of this offer, did you have to pay for shipping back to dell?

Is it better to get the RMA by email or phone

thanks!!!!!

No - if you REFUSE delivery and do not open it.

Yes - if you do not refuse delivery

also...if i refuse...do i still call dell and let them know i'm refusing?

how come everyone is being so vague... how do you refuse shipping? I've never done that before. How can i refuse it if it is left on my doorstep like UPS often does?

If I happen to catch the UPS man while he's delivering and say take it back to dell. When they receive it will they just credit my account?

details people details.

sorry, i just don't want to be out 1 grand

don't know about dell. you should get full refund back.

for saks, I refused delivery and they gave me back all the money

for monarchcomputer, I refused delivery and they burned me with 15% restocking fee. file a charge back with amex for the whole amount becuase it took them awhile to give me back the credit. file another chargeback against them for the 15% difference. amex sided with me.

When the man dressed in brown shows up a knockin' tell him you are going to refuse the order. He will say ok and the order will make it's way back to Dell.

If you miss UPS, call or email Dell. They will send the man in brown to your door to pick the item up. He will even bring his own label for you...so no charge to you.

Or just leave a note on the door for the UPS man the day he's supposed to come and state that you are refusing the package from Dell. Unless of course the new system will arrive on the same day then that might not work as you could refuse the wrong one...

why return it, just call for a price adjustment.

How about what this guy said? Call them and say I'll refuse the shipment unless I get price adjustment.
