First, here's a link to dell: Dell Website

Also a preview over at TG Daily: Renegade

On top of the Quad 7900 gtx's and the included 30" lcd, it has the Ageia PhysX processor...guess we'll finally see what kind of impact it will have.

There's a sweepstakes coming up as well. You can sign up for a reminder here

Smart move... obviously this isn't going to be a huge money maker, but they can definitely claim the performance crown now over Alienware, Falcon, Voodoo, etc. People who are going to buy a gaming computer now will think of Dell... if they have the best performing computer around, then their cheaper alternatives probably performs better than others the same price.

Wow! Now that's a friggin nice pc. Even the case looks hot with the flames with the skull in them and the chrome Dell logo. Dell basically just gave Alienware the finger and said "This is how it's done".

I didn't even think it was even possible to build a gaming PC that cost 10K anymore. They really broke their backs to make that one happen.

It could easily be done without wasting money on a paint job. SCSI anyone?

You have that overpriced extreme edition processor, you have 4 video cards, you have raid with 160GB Raptors, you have dell's case, it's overclocked (therefore it's more likely to fail, so they have to cover their ass), with heaftier cooling and suposse to run quiet, etc..

Was thinking the same thing, I'd take SCSI Raid over what dell has right in there anyday...

The XPS 600 Renegade comes with any feature a computer enthusiast could desire these days. There's a heavily overclocked dual-core Pentium processor

Two sentences into the article and they are already wrong.

Just customize same specs on alienware's site except used the fx-60. Came to little over 10k but that was with 2-24 inch monitors. The alienware also has water cooling.

Wow, really? You can build your own for cheaper?

I don't know why everybody keeps bringing this up. You'll figure after 10 years, people would think this is common knowledge.

It's like sex. Every generation thinks they invented it.

I'll take twin Opteron 285s, and Areca-1230 with BBMs, and 12 WD5000KS over that Dell.

I'd only have enough space to rent and rip everything on Netflix, be entertained far far longer than that waste of silicon and PCB could ever keep me. All while curing cancer and predicting the weather with DC projects.
