These monitors are 8ms and 6ms respectively. That is horrible.

Im @ 1ms and feels like my sony fw900 soo smooth... no lag at all, no jerky mouse when vsync is enabled.. etc..

I swear you are an idiot... or the best troll in living memory (doubt that)

I use a TV with 8ms delay and i notice no difference from that to my "gaming" monitor of 2ms. It is called the placebo effect in your case i believe.

So have you used the U2412M and confirmed it is not smooth? 🙄

Let me just translate the OPs post quickly for everyone..

"I have a crappy TN panel monitor and i'm upset that other people have IPS"

The end.

It's 1920x1200. I know some people here will love that.

One of the main reasons I bought a U2410 recently was that I felt next iterations may go 1920x1080. Glad to see that's not the case.

Wow, $400 is really cheap considering that this is an LED backlit IPS. Very nice, though I don't think I will be replacing my U2410.

Keep in mind the reason why the price is low is because this is an e-ips panel and from what I can tell only 6-bits. Also it is most definetly wLed backlit which isn't all the great. The U2410 is a much better monitor.

Agreed - if you want my U2410 you'll have to pry it from my cold dead fingers. If I didn't already have one though, the possibility of saving $100-$150 and getting 1920x1200 res. would be compelling to me, but I'd want to see it live first. My guess is it's the sort of thing that you'd be happy with so long as you didn't see it side-by-side with the 2410.

is it just me, or do manufacturers almost never list this bit of information in the tech specs? i don't even see it anywhere on the product page at Dell's own website. where can one go to find this sort of information?..b/c i never see a manufacturer distinguish between 6-bit and 8-bit, and it bothers me b/c its important to know (to some of us anyways).

This is the data sheet for the panel.

The best way to find more in depth specs is to find the model number for the panel and google it.
