Dell Rebate question (delivery issue)

Got an email from Dell for a rebate that I applied for, and it said it was mailed May 23. It also says to "Please wait approximately two weeks for delivery". Now, I don't know what they mean by mailing, unless it's in a bag waiting to go to the post office, because two weeks is Pony Express time.

Should I be concerned that I haven't gotten it yet? Do they come on the postcard or in an envelope? I guess if it's a postcard, it's 4th class or whatever. Not fond of the postcard checks, as everyone can see it's a check.

Thanks in advance.

wait a bit. memorial day may have delayed postal service.

if you don't get it in, say, a week or so, give them a call.

They probably sent it first class, as most rebate checks are sent. I'd give Dell a call tomorrow and see if they can cut you another check.

re: Nik

Come on, man. That's not even remotely helpful. I'm looking for people's experiences. Pretty simple question.

Sorry, here's a better response:

Should I be concerned that I haven't gotten it yet?

That's a decision you'll have to make for yourself. Do you really care about the rebate? Is it worth worrying about?

Do they come on the postcard or in an envelope?

Call Dell and ask them how they sent it since they're the ones who sent it.

Nik, have you ever gotten a Dell rebate? That's the question the OP asked by saying "Do they come on the postcard or in an envelope?" Let me demonstrate an example reply for both possible situations:

1) "Sorry, I've never gotten a Dell rebate. But many rebates I've gotten have come on postcards, which are sent first class."

2) "Yeah, I did get a Dell rebate once, for a Dimension 4400. It came in an envelope."

Don't be an asshole, and people will stop making fun of you for the angry, insecure and dissatisfied-with-life person that you are.

Sorry, I've never gotten a Dell rebate. But many rebates I've gotten have come in the form of instant-discounts at the register because I don't like the idea of losing my incentive-to-buy in the mail after I've already spent the money.

...that just... doesn't feel right. :p People can judge me all they want; judging me doesn't make it any less of a lie.

When I mailed in my dell rebate it came in about 5 weeks after sending it in. I didn't really check the status of the rebate it just came. With all my rebates they either come or they don't, usually the bigger company come through for you on rebates.

I got an e-mail from Dell on May 24 saying my rebate check has been mailed. Got the rebate check today. Just relax.
