I am thinking about gettin a Dell Dimension 8300. I was going to build my own rig but i decided i dont have the time to build a good one. Tell me what you think about this computer. For $1,000 i will get:

P4 3 ghz with hyper threading technology
A Gig of pc2700 ram
80 gig hd at 7200 rpm
8x dvd-rw
17 crt monitor
wireless keyboard/optical mouse
GeForce FX 5200 (will replace with my 5700 ultra)

How will this rig perform? Seems like a good deal to me... what u think?

That's pretty good except the PC2700 will seriously bottleneck your "C" processor. It will only provide 2.7GB/s of the optimal 6.4GB/s with Dual-Channel PC3200 memory.
