editted coherent summary

1) bought a 600m
2) less than 30 days later it has become 100+ cheaper
3) will dell fix this?
4) who do i contact? - what do i say?

Hey all

I recently bought a dell 600m for what I thought was a good deal; of course thats just an illusion

so today I got a 15% of coupon in my mail box and theres all a 100$ mail in rebate on the 600m.

ive read that within the 30 days of purchase dell (order was placed march 19 - recieved april 2nd) will do anything to keep you happy

what number should I call?

and what should I say?

thanks fellow ferengi!

What?

I can't follow your post. You buy something, get a rebate, and are wondering what to do?

Fill it out and send it in.

won't hurt to try and call.

you have 30 days to return, so they may refund you the difference if you threaten to return the laptop.

A bit early to be requesting Ferengi muscle. Find the information you mentioned regarding the "keep you happy" policy.

Then:

Call Dell Contact #'s

Say:

1. It's less than 30 days from when I bought my computer.
2. I have coupon/rebate and the system now sells for less than what I bought it for.
3. Mention the "keep you happy" policy which you located before you called them up (only, don't call it the "keep you happy" policy).

Do not say:

"I recently bought a dell 600m for what I thought was a good deal; of course thats just an illusion so today I got a 15% of coupon in my mail box and theres all a 100$ mail in rebate on the 600m. ive read that within the 30 days of purchase dell (order was placed march 19 - recieved april 2nd) will do anything to keep you happy"

See where that gets you.

Just a suggestion.
